About Us

If you are reading this you may be in or at the start of a complicated journey in hospital or care in the UK, either for yourself or a loved one.

It can be a very frightening and lonely place.

You are not on your own.

We are a small team of people in the UK who have and are still living the daily challenges of hospital and care in the UK. Be it for ourselves or a loved one.

Some of our experiences are new, others experience is over 40 years

We are not medical or legal people.

We are just ‘normal’ people living day to day .. get up, go to work, eat, sleep...  probably just like you.

We have chosen however to protect the people we love and care for by working under a website name, not personal names, but please be assured we are just ordinary people.

Our Aim

Did you know ... ?

The total number of reported written complaints in the NHS in 2022-23 was 229,458. The largest proportion of new complaints was Communications.

"We have consistently found that patients and the public want clear, easy to read information without jargon"  (source NHS digital data).

When we experience a care or medical ‘crisis’ we don't have the time or focus to know what to do or ask. We are lost.

The information is often too lengthy and difficult to understand. It is overwhelming.

We wish we had access to this information during our experiences.

So, we want to give back our experience to you in one guide - what to know, do and ask for.
